What type of results have you seen from people following the Fitter, Firmer, Faster plan?
We have held three four week shape-up classes and the results have included:
• Weight loss of 7 ½ to 17 ½ pounds (note: the people who have lost over 10 pounds in four weeks weighed over 250 pounds to begin with. People who weigh less than 200 pounds lose an average of 8 pounds in four weeks on our program)
• Decreased size of waist and hips of between 4 ½ to 11 total inches
• Decreased body fat percentage of between 7 ½ % to 11%
• Loss of one to two clothing sizes
• Lower cholesterol
• Improved cholesterol ratio
• Decreased triglycerides
• Lower blood pressure
• Decrease in symptoms of conditions characterized by inflammation (such as asthma, allergies, fibromyalgia, etc)
What makes Fitter, Firmer, Faster so simple to follow?
The diet portion is easy to follow because you don’t have to count calories, carbs or fat grams---you can eat until you are full and satisfied and you lose weight without hunger. Also, our “no gym membership” required workout gets you fit and firm exercising just 30-minutes three days a week.
Food, supplements, exercise? Which is most important and why?
When it comes to shedding pounds (and improving health) the most important thing you can do is to change your eating habits and adopt a whole foods diet. The second most important thing you can do is exercise. Finally, adding the right supplements can also help.
Diet is more important than exercise because even if you are exercising for an hour six days a week, if you are eating an extra 500 empty calories a day your exercise sessions could be a “wash” in terms of calorie expenditure. However, exercise is still very important! If you exercise efficiently (interval training with the proper type of resistance training) you can increase your resting metabolism and the after-burn of your workouts significantly and really boost the weight loss benefits of just diet alone. Adding the right supplements (especially the right balance of essential fats) can help improve your body’s sensitivity to insulin, reduce inflammation and curb food cravings therefore facilitating weight loss.
