Red wine has long been touted for its incredible health benefits and antioxidant properties.

Studies show that red wine in moderation can lower the risk of heart attack, raise good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol. In addition, it also staves off blood clots as well as reducing the damage caused by fat deposits.

Other research indicates that those individuals who drink wine are also less likely to suffer heart disease, diabetes and dementia.

But could it really be the secret to lasting weight loss? The jury is still out. However, the innovative new Red Wine Diet promises to prolong your life, improve your overall wellness and lose weight as a byproduct.

The creator of the diet is Roger Corder, a prominent researcher who's been with the William Harvey Research Institute for well over a decade. Now. he's touting the Red Wine Diet which relies on flavonoid polyphenols called procyanidins. Procyanidins have been proven to prevent clogged arteries, high blood pressure and cholestrol.
