Fast Track One-Day Detox
Published 03/4/2006 | Other | Rating:

How would you like to lose three to eight pounds in the course of 24 hours? Nutritionist Ann Louise Gittleman says it’s humanly possible with her Fast Track One-Day Detox that jumpstarts your weight-loss efforts. With this three-step plan, you will eliminate toxins and shed those extra pounds. Read between the lines and this basically spells out a quick-fix fasting diet.

Accelerate your metabolism, break diet plateaus, re-energize your body and get rid of your extra weight before that important special occasion. Although the name of the diet suggests you’ll only need to invest one day of your life to start losing, the three-stage process actually is more involved.

The Prequel – You’ll prepare your body for the one-day fast by adding detox-supporting foods and/or supplements to your diet.

The Fast – For one day you’ll drink Gittleman’s “Miracle Juice,” a blend of herbs and spices that quells hunger, keeps blood sugar levels in check, boosts metabolism and replenishes nutrients.

The Sequel – Over the next three days, add probiotic foods and probiotics into your to maintain your weight loss.

Rome wasn’t built in a day… and neither is lasting weight loss. If you’re one of those people who struggle to get your diet moving, the Fast Track One-Day Detox Diet may work wonders for you. But in order to accomplish permanent weight loss, it’s going to take more than a juice fast. A regime of healthy eating and exercise is the only way to maintain weight loss.

A fasting detox is a good thing, to jump start an excerise program. Youn do carry around a lot off build up in your colon, this adds a lot of extra pounds. But the only way to get thin and stay thin is healthy eating and daily exercise. Also ianangelyou did not spell exercise right either.

Cleansing & Detoxifying absolutely works! But everyone assumes it is a colon cleanse. The best nutrition program I've ever used is Isagenix. It has everything you need all together in one program - full body cleansing (not colon), essential vitamin/mineral/amino acids supplement, meal replacement shakes with all the nutrients your body needs along with active enzymes to help your body use the nutrients. IT WORKS! IT'S FAST! AMAZING RESULTS! I've tried South Beach, Atkins, Weight Watchers, phentermine - this works better & it's HEALTHY! Check out the website: sonjaowens.isagenix.com

Surprise, surprise, there is not enough info here to try Dr.Gittleman detox diet--She has written at least two books on the subject which are very interesting and far too thorough to include in this condensed article. Read the Fat Flush Plan and The Fat Flush Cookbook, by Dr. Ann Louise Gittleman for in depth discussion and scientific data on the doctor's ongoing research into nutrition and weight loss. You might even be able to find these as a used book.

I have a question for Dr.Ann Louise Gittleman. Will this work when you have a Thyroid that is so over active that it doesn't work? I have tried almost everyother diet there is and I agree with the rest of the reviews WE NEED MORE INFORMATION. How much does it cost?

This is a great way to initiate a diet with weight loss as the goal; however a strict regimented exercise program and loosing the processed foods will be perimount for success. Janangel while kimjones may not be correct in spelling, you need to get the name straight to be critical. This a reveiw, not a spelling B.

To answer the question about the "Miracle Juice" you do make it yourself with unsweetened cranberry juice, fresh orange juice, water and spices (I may have left out an ingredient or two). Unsweetened cranberry juice is not cheap. I usually found it for around 6 for 32oz. However, it is always watered down, so it goes much further. This diet recommends supplements, flax seed oil, and organic foods, too, which can add up. One thing to note--which is mentioned all over in the book--is that this is basically a detox and a jump start for weight loss, not long term. From personal experience, the Fast Track was sometimes difficult, but by the end of the program I felt very energetic and healthy. Though I do not follow the diet currently, I adopted many of the changes to my daily diet and have been able to maintain the results. I would do the Fast Track again for wellness and detox.

Not enough information even where to find more information, or if this is something that needs doctor oversight, since this sounds quite drastic with a claim of so much weight loss in such a short amount of time. It sounds like you aren't really losing body fat, but the weight of body waste.

this doesn't tell you what to do on the Fast Track One-Day Detox Diet. Instead it refers you to web site where you have to pay to find out. In other words, screw your health, let's make a buck.

This review does need more information. You don't have to pay to learn all the ingredients and methods involved though. I checked out the Fat Flush Plan and the cookbook from my local library. Very interesting material. I did end up buying a used copy so I guess someone did make a buck off me, but it was worth it.

Sounds good, but where's the medical info.? How safe is it? Are there personal contra-indications? (For example, some things don't work if you are taking certain meds or have certain medical problems.

The Detox Diet really does work. I lost 10 lbs in 11 days, and the weight did not just come right back, as I never felt deprived while doing it. They could not list the entire diet on this site, as it's extensive. The book can be found cheap online.

BS. the only thing proven to work..(and trust me i've tried it all) is eating healthy and exercising for atleast 1/2 hour per day.
Sorry there are no quick fixes. just set your mind and cut off simple things like instead of 3 sugars have one and eventually work yourself down to none. pretty soon the weight will start rolling off ...but i guarantee that it'll stay off.
    goodluck all

I have not tried this yet, but I will be by the time you receive this. I have a very hard time dropping weight, but this sounds easy enough. Fasting one day is not hard, I think fasting should be done at least once a week in order to maintain. Also I have detoxed and continue doing it regularly, it is necesary and important to keep your body clean and your blood flowing without blood clots.

Thank you for your information and all your expertise.

Geez you people get tooky over everything! It was like a tennis match for a cat fight! Maybe it doesn't work for everybody but some people might be interested in checking out and had legit questions but I actually found the "miracle juice" recipe in a magazine "First For Women". You also have to be very willing and ready to do this, in my opinion. Good luck to all!
