Where are the details of this diet. I know it is probably the same way Daniel ate (the old testiment Daniel)...but where can one actually go to get more details. What book is it in?
The one flaw in these diet reviews is there is no direction as to where one can go to get the actual diet...food lists, etc.

Even though I have never heard of this diet before, it actually spells out the diet plan I've been following myself, which is basically, "If it isn't natural, don't eat it." I live near grocery stores that sell organically grown vegetables, and although they are a little more expensive, they are so much better for the body to process and taste so much better that they are WORTH THE ADDITIONAL COST. The description of the diet didn't mention dairy products, but I would assume milk in its natural form (i.e., not chocolate or strawberry flavored) and yogurt, especially with the natural cultures ONLY, not fillers, would be acceptable, such as cow's milk, goat's milk, or even sheep's milk (cheese). The list of physical ailments cured by eating natural foods is a good indication of what processed foods, especially grains of all kinds, will do to the body. Merely eating sprouted grain bread without gluten and NO OTHER GRAIN PRODUCTS is a HUGE step in the right direction.

The name of the book is "The Maker's Diet". It is excellent and also has a guide to how to by groceries for the diet. He also includes recipes to eat healthier. He has also written a book on surviving cancer. You may find his books in any bookstore.

I was inspired by this report and will look further into it. I have actually been doing this very diet on my own for about a year and have lost 76 lbs. to date. I didn't know about his book, but what he is saying is very true! I feel I can eat this way the rest of my life, because I am feeling much better and I eat about 6 smaller meals a day. It has been the easiest thing I have tried. God bless!

This is the best article on "diets" I've seen. Awesome and VERY true. I totally agree with Helen, and already eat this way. I started on Atkins back in 2001, then combined it with South Beach, and since 2005 have just been taking what I learned from both programs, and eat healthy and ORGANIC. Lots of fish is important, nuts and seeds, fruits, organic poultry, "real" whole wheat bread, etc. Bottom line, I am not looking to lose weight anymore, just eat right. Even though I'm 5'9", I went from a size 16 weighing about 190 lbs, to a size 2 weighing about 129. For someone with chronic lower back issues, which is why I started dieting in the first place, it has been a tremendous help to get the weight off. I feel fantastic, and I eat all the time! Now I FEEL like exercising..but to clarify, I've never been a "gym" person, but would love to play golf with my boyfriend, so I'm trying to learn. Not needing to park as close as humanly possible to whatever store I was going into is great too! It's just a little walk! Just another FYI..I have a recipe for a fantastic salad..one that I eat at least 3-4 times a week in a HUGE bowl. Mix the following together:
Honey glazed walnuts or pecans; Organic Dried Cranberries or Cherries; Diced pears (organic POMICE are the best, and really juicy); add Organic Mixed Baby Greens (as much as you want, but at least 2 cups). Then, mix it all up with an Organic Raspberry Viniagrette and top with crumbled Blue Cheese. It is so easy and so good for you! My twenty cents! :-)

This eating plan, with a new way to live certainly lives up to the promise. If you are prepared to lose your preconceived notions and embark on a system of living that will make the most out of every area of your life, then try it. The first book was called the Makers Diet, the subsequent text and workbook are called Seven Weeks to Wellness. In these texts the plan for God-given living is spelled out in a day to day, week by week plan, that helps you decrease toxins, eat for life and embrace a way of life that will add years and pleasure to your life. One of the first things we learn to do, is to eat. I tried it, I lost weight and I experienced a kind of mental and physical cleanliness I had never seen or heard of before. We learn to make a eye wash and nasal wash to clean our passages, with salt and idodine. Try it for yourself, if you are committed, and you won't be disppointed.
