The Perricone Prescription calls for three meals, one mid-afternoon and one after-dinner snack. Each meal and snack must include recommended sources of protein, carbohydrates and fat in the form of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. Meals should be evenly spaced out throughout the day and eight to ten glasses of water should be consumed.
A typical menu for the day looks like this:
BREAKFAST Mushroom omelet with Canadian bacon and melon
LUNCH Salmon, Caesar salad and ½ apple
DINNER Grilled halibut, Greek Salad, asparagus and melon.
SNACK 2 slices of turkey, 4 macadamia nuts and a small peach
